Lignator Logistika OÜ requirements for the timber sellers:

  • the seller must supply the timber stock in compliance with the requirements of existing technology and and nature conservation; logging must comply with current legislation;
  • timber stock cannot be cut from the protected forests or the forests, that will be under protection and where the logging is prohibited;
  • the seller must have acquired the timber on legal basis and it must be free from the third parties’ rights;
  • the seller must have a properly filled in conveyance document;
  • while preparing the sale/purchase, the seller must provide documentary evidence about the origin of every delivered timber amount (truck load) – cadastral registry number, name of the property, rural municipality, county;
  • the buyer accepts the seller’s right to carry out random checks at the timber cutting areas, concerning the origin of the delivered timber and following the environmental protection requirements;
  • the seller is responsible for its subcontractors and suppliers’ actions and whether they are consistent with the above-mentioned requirements;
  • the buyer has the right to terminate the business interaction with the seller, if the buyer does not follow the above-mentioned requirements or the audit has identified serious violations concerning environmental claims or requirements about the origin.

The documents supporting the legality of the ownership of timber for every seller are

  • documents proving the origin of the timber, for example, land register, the previous contract of logging rights or transfer deed;
  • forest notification (example opens as a pdf-file) with the permission from the environmental service of the location of the immovable;
  • conveyance document or documents (example opens as a pdf-file);
  • the seller’s or seller’s agent’s identity document ( ID-card, passport or driver’s license).

In addition the seller of timber must provide:
Legal person

  • a valid copy of the B-card of the commercial register (not older than 15 days),
  • value added tax identification number for persons liable to value added tax ;
  • proxy of the seller’s representative (if the seller’s representative is not marked in the box 4 of the copy of the B-card of the commercial register). Proxy must be signed by the board member of the company.

Natural person

  • proxy if the seller’s agent or representative in case the seller does not deliver the material. Proxy must be signed by the seller.

Sole proprietor

  • a valid copy of the A-card of the commercial register,
  • value added tax identification number for persons liable to value added tax,
  • proxy if the seller’s representative is not marked in the box 4 of the copy of the A-card of the commercial register. Proxy must be signed by the sole proprietor.

In case the timber from the FSC-certified forest is sold, please make the appropriate entries in the accompanying and sales documents.
